We’re excited to announce Old English Grooming Club will be reopening soon (Friday, July 2nd). We have endured months of unexpected changes, support from our community, and uncertainties about the future. One thing this pandemic has gifted us is time with our loved ones and a true appreciation for each other. It has also reminded us how much we love seeing our clients everyday. 

As we refocus our business to best deliver a safe and professional environment, this article will help provide you with our vision and goals to adjust to keep our clients & staff safe.

1: We’re Reopening Soon!

  • Old English Grooming Club will be reopen (Friday, July 2nd) upon provincial approval. We will have reduced capacity to ensure proper distancing and cleaning procedures.

2: Appointment Changes & Spacing

  • Starting with a clean slate - Previous bookings have been cancelled to allow a fresh and fair online scheduling process. 

  • Barber preparation and support staff time has been extended - Allowing for complete sanitization of all surfaces and tools between bookings.

  • Due to the high volume of customers during the reopening. Appointments may start slightly past their scheduled times.

3: Personal Protection

  • Our staff members will be wearing a mask and gloves -  to help ensure the protection of both our clients and staff members.

  • Clients will be required to wear a mask  - If you do not have one, we will provide one at an additional fee.

4: Disinfection Steps

  • Disinfecting all surfaces - Before and after each client, our team will ensure all surfaces (counters, chairs, tools, payment terminals etc) have been carefully disinfected.

Precautions:

5: OEGC Service Revision

  • A single use cape -  will be provided to each client and disposed of after use.

  • Clients will be required to wear a mask - If you do not have one, we will provide one at an additional fee.

  • Hair wash services will not be available until further notice 

  • Waiting room & coat hangers will be closed until further notice - We recommend clients either wait in their vehicle or line up outside with social distancing (6 feet apart) kept in mind. Only arrive 5 minutes before your appointment.

  • We are unable to service clients with COVID related symptoms - To help protect our clients, staff, and community, we will be asking questions about your current health and taking contactless temperature upon arrival.

5: OEGC Client & Staff Assessments

  • Hand sanitizer - will be provided at the front door and hand washing is encouraged upon arrival

  • An infrared contactless thermometer check - we will be required to check each person’s body temperature upon entry.

  • Health questionnaires - we will be verifying each clients current condition prior to scheduled appointment (via phone, email, or text)

  • All staff will be assessed daily - to ensure your safety. Our staff members will be required to stay home if showing any symptoms or contact with anyone that has shown signs.

  • All magazines and beverage service will be removed until further notice
